Comet C/2001 A2 (LINEAR) is a visitor from the outer solar system, captured here with a small telescope. The image, a composite of multiple exposures, reveals faint details in the comet's tail. This comet was visible to the unaided eye in the Northern Hemisphere as it moved through the constellation Pisces.
