COSMIC MESSAGE
One of the stars in the globular cluster NGC 6397 blinks rapidly. This blinking star is a neutron star, which astronomers believe is spinning 274 times per second. It is orbited by a bloated red star, and matter pulled from the red star likely makes the neutron star spin faster as it crashes onto its surface.
