Apollo 11: Catching Some Sun
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
This image, taken by Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong, shows the lunar module Eagle and Buzz Aldrin. Aldrin is unfurling a sheet of foil, the Solar Wind Collector. Exposed to the Sun, the foil trapped atoms from the solar wind. This collected a sample of material from the Sun itself, along with moon rocks.
