Saturn at the Moon's Edge

Saturn, the ringed gas giant, was recently seen at the Moon's edge. From some locations on Earth, it was occulted, disappearing behind the Moon for about an hour. This telescopic view captures Saturn near the waning gibbous Moon. Such occultation events are not uncommon as the Moon and bright planets wander near the ecliptic plane.
