COSMIC MESSAGE

On December 4, 2002, the Moon's shadow tracked across southern Africa. This total solar eclipse was the second in as many years for the region. The narrow path of totality moved eastward through Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa's Kruger National Park, and Mozambique. It then continued across the Indian Ocean.
