COSMIC MESSAGE

These meteors are sand-sized bits of Comet Tempel-Tuttle, shed about 150 years ago. They streak high above diffuse clouds but in front of distant stars in Ursa Major. This image combines 12 exposures from Florida, showing a strong peak in faint meteors on November 19.
