Open Star Cluster M38

The open cluster M38, also known as the Starfish Cluster, is about 4,000 light-years away in the constellation Auriga. Its stars are roughly 200 million years old, still young enough to include many bright blue stars. The cluster spans about 25 light-years across. Its brightest star is a yellow giant, shining 900 times brighter than our Sun.
