Galaxy 0313-192 is a billion light-years away, seen edge-on in this image. Radio emissions mapped by the Very Large Array are shown in red, combined with a visible light image from the Hubble Space Telescope. Dust lanes and other features confirm it is a spiral galaxy. Infrared data from the Gemini telescope also supports this classification.
