X-Ray Milky Way

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

If you had X-ray vision, the center of our galaxy would be visible, unlike in visible light, which is obscured by cosmic dust. This image, a mosaic from the Chandra Observatory, shows the Milky Way towards Sagittarius in X-rays. High-energy X-rays are blue, medium energies green, and low energies red, revealing hundreds of white dwarfs, neutron stars, and black holes.
