COSMIC MESSAGE
The Cigar Galaxy, M82, is experiencing a galactic "superwind." This red-glowing gas is being driven out by the combined particle winds of many stars. A recent pass near the large spiral galaxy M81 stirred up M82, and the Subaru Telescope highlights the specific color of this expanding gas.
