NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 6302, also known as the Bug Nebula, is a planetary nebula captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. Its central star is exceptionally hot, with an estimated surface temperature of about 250,000 degrees Celsius. This star shines brightly in ultraviolet light but is hidden from direct view by a dense torus of dust. The nebula's dramatic shape is sculpted by the outflow from this dying star.
