“Planets Over Easter Island” is copyrighted by Magnus Galfalk (Stockholm Observatory). NASA has permission to show it and we don't, so it isn't on this card.
See it on NASA's siteEaster Island is home to over 800 large stone statues, called moai. In April 2004, a rare planetary alignment occurred, captured here behind one of these ancient giants. The statues, some over twice the height of a person, are a mystery, believed to have been created about 500 years ago.
