The Double Haze above Titan
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
Titan, Saturn's largest moon, is unique for having not one, but two distinct layers of haze above its thick atmosphere. This false-color ultraviolet image from the Cassini spacecraft reveals these purple haze layers. Titan's opaque atmosphere, primarily nitrogen, is similar in composition to Earth's.
