WMAP Resolves the Universe

COSMIC MESSAGE
New analyses of a high-resolution map of microwave light, from only 380,000 years after the Big Bang, precisely define our universe. The Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) provided these eagerly awaited results. They resolved several long-standing cosmological disagreements. The WMAP all-sky image indicates the universe is 13.7 billion years old, accurate to 1 percent. It also details the universe's composition and expansion rate.
