COSMIC MESSAGE
During last week's lunar eclipse, the Moon appeared to vanish as Earth moved between it and the Sun. Earth's shadow darkened the Moon. This time-lapse image, created with multiple exposures and digital enhancements, shows the Moon fading and reappearing over three hours. Earth's rotation contributed to the dramatic effect.
