Saturn's Moon Dione from Cassini

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

This image from the Cassini spacecraft shows Dione, one of Saturn's moons, with bright streaks across its surface. These streaks run over some of Dione's many craters, suggesting they formed after the impacts that created the craters. Dione is primarily made of water ice, but its relatively high density hints at a rocky core. Cassini's close-up views help us understand these unusual features.
