NGC 2467: From Gas to Stars
NASA APOD · T. Rector
COSMIC MESSAGE
The NGC 2467 region shows various stages of star formation, though the stars on the left may not be shaping the gas cloud on the right. Observations indicate that these stars are loose groups at different distances, not a single cluster energizing the nebula. The stars on the far left have already formed, and their birth nebulae have dispersed. At the left, new stars are still forming within dense clouds.
