Riverbeds and Lakebeds Discovered on Saturn's Titan

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Preliminary analyses of images from the Huygens lander suggest that methane rain, evaporating lakes, and flowing rivers likely exist on Saturn's moon Titan. A snaking, branching riverbed is visible as a dark channel near the top of this image. A dark lakebed is also identified across the bottom. Both features were likely dry at the time the image was taken, but contained liquid methane in the past.
