NASA APOD · Jim Misti (Misti Mountain Observatory)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Hercules Cluster is a collection of galaxies about 650 million light-years away, filled with star-forming spiral galaxies. These spirals appear with a blue tint in this composite image, while the fewer elliptical galaxies, which lack gas and dust, show a yellowish cast. Many galaxies here appear to be interacting or merging.
