COSMIC MESSAGE
Two white dwarf stars, about 1,600 light-years away, orbit each other every 321 seconds. This image shows an artist's interpretation of these stars, known as J0806. Data from the Chandra Observatory indicates their orbit is shrinking. These stars, despite being 80,000 kilometers apart, are spiraling toward a merger.
