Saturn's Rings from the Other Side

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

What do Saturn's rings look like from the other side? We usually see them from the same side of the ring plane that the Sun illuminates. In this image, taken by the Cassini spacecraft in April, the Sun is behind the camera but on the other side of the ring plane. This unique vantage point offers a view of the rings that reveals their intricate structure and how they scatter light differently when viewed from the unlit side.
