COSMIC MESSAGE
On March 26, 2003, a rock from space crashed through a roof in Park Forest, Illinois. This 10-centimeter meteorite was one of several that fell near Chicago that day. The event was part of a tremendous fireball. The image shows the meteorite after it came to rest near a filing cabinet.
