An Unexplored Nebula

NASA APOD · Steve Mandel, Galaxy Images
COSMIC MESSAGE

This cosmic dust cloud, dubbed the Angel Nebula, reflects the combined light of Milky Way stars. It floats about 300 light-years above our galaxy's plane, part of a complex of dim, relatively unexplored nebulae. Like other reflection nebulae, it has a blue tint, visible toward the North and South Galactic poles.
