Possible Pluto Moons
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
In 1930, Pluto was discovered, and in 1978, its large companion Charon was found. This year, the Hubble Space Telescope may have detected two more moons in the Pluto system. Provisionally named S/2005 P1 and S/2005 P2, these potential moons orbit counterclockwise about 44,000 kilometers from Pluto, as seen in these deep Hubble images.
