Saturn Storm by Ringshine

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

On Saturn's night side, the Cassini spacecraft imaged these swirling storm clouds. They are illuminated by ringshine, sunlight reflected from Saturn's ring system. This storm, about 3,500 kilometers across, was first spotted by amateur astronomers. Cassini detected radio noise bursts, suggesting lightning discharges, when the storm was on the same side as the spacecraft.
