The Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope, or GBT, is the largest fully-pointable single-dish radio telescope in the world. Located in West Virginia, USA, its central dish is larger than a football field. The GBT operates in a radio quiet zone, where electronic interference is limited. It explores the universe day and night, searching for new discoveries in the radio spectrum.
