NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
The two bright sources in the center of this composite X-ray and radio image are co-orbiting supermassive black holes. They power the giant radio source 3C 75 and are separated by 25,000 light-years. These black holes reside at the cores of two merging galaxies within the Abell 400 galaxy cluster, which is about 300 million light-years away. They are surrounded by multimillion-degree X-ray emitting gas and blast out jets of relativistic particles.
