COSMIC MESSAGE
This pair of open star clusters, h and chi Persei, is located about 7,000 light-years away in the constellation Perseus. They are visible to the unaided eye and were cataloged by the Greek astronomer Hipparchus in 130 BC. The clusters, also known as NGC 869 and NGC 884, are separated by a few hundred light-years. They contain stars that are much younger and hotter than our Sun.
