Omega Centauri is the largest globular star cluster in our galaxy. It contains about 10 million stars. This wide-field telescopic view shows the cluster and the surrounding star field, with faint dust clouds and distant background galaxies. Omega Centauri sits in the constellation Centaurus, a striking constellation in the southern sky.
