The planets Saturn and Mars aligned with the Beehive Cluster on June 17th. This view, recorded in dark Arizona skies, shows Mars above and to the right of Saturn. The Beehive cluster of stars (M44) is at the lower right. The two planets appear in conjunction, separated by just over half a degree.
