Pluto in True Color
Pluto is mostly brown, a color captured in this true-color image. Though no spacecraft had visited it when this image was made, the New Horizons probe launched that year would reach it in 2015. This map was created by tracking brightness changes from Earth. Pluto's reclassification as a dwarf planet remains a topic of debate.
