COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet SWAN, first detected by the Solar Wind ANisotropies camera, passed close to Earth in 2006. This image captures its blue-green coma next to spiral galaxy NGC 5005 in Canes Venatici. The comet was only 9 light-minutes away, while the galaxy is 60 million light-years distant.
