IC 5067: Emission Nebula Close-up

COSMIC MESSAGE
This close-up of IC 5067, the Pelican Nebula, shows light-year spanning dust clouds that look like mountains. The Pelican is part of a larger star-forming region, 2,000 light-years away in Cygnus. This natural color view was recorded through broadband filters, making it an analogy to human color vision. The fantastic shapes are sculpted by high-energy radiation from hot, young stars.
