COSMIC MESSAGE

The gegenschein, German for 'counter glow,' is a faint patch of light in the night sky directly opposite the Sun. It is caused by sunlight scattering off tiny dust particles in the plane of the solar system. These dust particles are typically millimeter-sized fragments from asteroids.
