Red, White, and Blue Sky

COSMIC MESSAGE

Contrasting colors in this sunset sky were captured from Clear Creek Canyon Observatory in Arizona. The twilight scene includes brilliant Venus, with a bright Saturn just above it, shining through thin clouds. The two planets were about 1 degree apart, roughly twice the width of the full Moon, which was rising on the opposite horizon.
