COSMIC MESSAGE
The Trifid Nebula, also known as M20, is a star-forming region about 5,000 light-years away in Sagittarius. It shows three types of nebulae. The red emission comes from hydrogen atoms, the blue reflection from dust reflecting starlight, and dark nebulae appear in silhouette where dense dust clouds block light.
