NASA APOD · Imaging - Josch Hambsch, Processing - Karel Teuwen
COSMIC MESSAGE

A star like our sun is dying, seven hundred light years away in Aquarius. The Helix Nebula, NGC 7293, is the result. Its inner region spans three light-years, and this image captures its fainter outer halo. This is what the sun will look like in a few billion years.
