COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet Holmes' coma has expanded to over 1.4 million kilometers in diameter, making it larger than the Sun. This vast cloud of dust and gas originated from the comet's nucleus, which was only about 3.4 kilometers across before its outburst. The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope captured this sharp image, showing stars clearly visible through the tenuous outer coma.
