COSMIC MESSAGE

Comet Holmes, also known as 17P/Holmes, continues to be visible in northern skies in the constellation Perseus. The image, from the Hubble Space Telescope, shows the sun-light reflecting dust coma. This coma surrounds an iceberg nucleus too small and faint to be seen, offering clues to the comet's nearly million-fold brightness increase.
