Westerlund 2 is a young star cluster surrounded by the dusty stellar nursery RCW 49. This composite image combines infrared data from the Spitzer Space Telescope and X-ray data from the Chandra X-ray Observatory. These instruments allow us to see through the dust that obscures the hot, energetic stars in the cluster's center.
