“Globular Cluster M55 from CFHT” is copyrighted by Jean-Charles Cuillandre. NASA has permission to show it and we don't, so it isn't on this card.
See it on NASA's siteM55 is a large, lovely globular cluster with about 100,000 stars. It sits 20,000 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius. From Earth, it appears nearly two-thirds the size of the full moon. Globular clusters like M55 are ancient groups of stars that orbit within the halo of our Milky Way galaxy.
