An Antarctic Total Solar Eclipse

NASA APOD · Fred Bruenjes (moonglow.net)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Sun, the Moon, Antarctica, and two photographers all lined up in 2003 for an unusual total solar eclipse. A group of eclipse chasers ventured near the bottom of the world to experience the Sun's momentary disappearance. This picture is a composite of four separate images, digitally combined to simulate how the human eye saw the eclipse.
