The Galactic Center Radio Arc

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

The center of our galaxy is a busy place. This radio image shows the Galactic Center Radio Arc, a series of long, parallel rays of charged particles. They jut out from the galactic plane and connect to strange, curving filaments called the Arches. The bright structure at the bottom right is Sagittarius A*, the radio source around the supermassive black hole at the very center of the Milky Way.
