COSMIC MESSAGE
The Dark River is a flowing dark cloud connecting the Pipe Nebula to the bright star Antares. This murkiness is caused by dust absorbing background starlight. Antares, appearing yellow, is embedded in the colorful Rho Ophiuchi nebula clouds. The Dark River spans over 20 times the angular diameter of the Moon.
