NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Open cluster NGC 290 is a group of stars in a neighboring galaxy, about 200,000 light-years away. This Hubble Space Telescope image shows a cluster that is younger and contains fewer stars than globular clusters. It has a higher proportion of blue stars, which are hotter and more massive. These stars shine brightly, like jewels in a box.
