Massive Stars in Open Cluster Pismis 24

The open cluster Pismis 24 contains massive stars. Hubble Space Telescope images revealed that Pismis 24-1, once thought to be a single record-holder star, is actually at least three stars. This cluster is located just above a gas front in the image. Its stars are among the most luminous known.
