COSMIC MESSAGE
This starscape in the southern sky shows streams of dark dust, known as the Dark River, connecting the central band of the Milky Way to the bright star Antares. The dust appears in dense knots, with one of the densest, B44, visible near the bottom. Antares, a very bright star, illuminates the surrounding dust, causing it to reflect a yellowish light.
