COSMIC MESSAGE
The North America Nebula, NGC 7000, and the Pelican Nebula are two emission nebulae resembling familiar shapes. They are about 1,500 light-years away and separated by a dark absorption cloud. Both nebulae are about 50 light-years across and glow with the light of energized hydrogen gas.
