A Cosmic Call to Nearby Stars

COSMIC MESSAGE

In 1999, the Cosmic Call project sent this image as the first page of a message to nearby stars. A second message was sent in 2003. The single-dish, 70-meter diameter radio telescope in Ukraine, near Yevpatoria, broadcast these messages. The project aimed to see if a deep space message could be decoded if Earth received one.
