COSMIC MESSAGE
The Lagoon Nebula, also known as M8, is a star-forming region in Sagittarius. It is a battleground of gas and dust, energized by the formation of new stars. The red glow comes from hydrogen gas energized by starlight. The nearby Trifid Nebula is also visible to the right, showing more star formation.
